Today, you learn how to apply the 3 by 3 determinant to the area of a triangle. Also, you explore the identity and inverse matrices. If time allows, I will explain how to find the inverse of a 2 by 2 matrix.

Tuesday and Wednesday
Today, you are solving a system of matrices using matrices. The process to do this item is multistep as I work backwards first for you to see how the matrix is set up. You will need to know how to find the inverse of a matrix to solve for x and y. Finally, we set up word problems using a system of equations and then solve using inverse matrices and multiplication of matrices. We will do all of this in two days.

Today, you review for the unit test with review problems. I will promote groupwork on the review sheet, yet individual work is also fine if you prefer ( your choice).
