Today, we practice add and subtract polynomials and explore mulitiplication of polynomials.  I will put all concepts together in a card activity.Also, I will enrich the knowledge with area and perimeter of a given figure with polynomial sides.

Thursday
Pascal's triangle and The Binomial Theorem are the topics today.  Explorations of the patterns of the Triangle will be given, a check on area and perimeter. I wil also run formula derivation of the Binomial Theorem.

Yes, it is Friday! It is more binomial expansion, more advanced in the monomials. I will challenge you to write the formula each time.

Algebra 2 week of 1/25/2016-1/29/2016

Week of January 18-22, 2016

Tutoring: No afternoons this week due to a course extension special case. Mornings will be Wednesday and Friday. Normal schedule shall return next week, you are always welcome to email me about tutoring times for the week.

Assessment: Unit test is Friday 1/22 and pretest is Tuesday, 1/19 ( you do not study for the pretest)

Today, you will start with a pretest, quiz return and notes on solving a quadratic using GCF and Square Root.  the quizzes are graded and some are good and some are not so good. I will address the major issues noted during grading

Week of 1/4-1/8/2016

Tutoring- I have course extension for the next two weeks, so no  afternoon tutoring until the week of 01/19.  Typical tutoring times will be posted the week of January 18th. I am finalizing my afternoon schedule currently.
Mornings this week will be Thursday and  Friday.

Assessments: None this week, first unit quiz is next Tuesday 1/12  and first unit test is the following Wednesday or Thursday ( depends on the mastery of the concepts)

All factoring this week is very important, this skill is used all semester long!!!
