CCGPS Advanced Algebra 10/ 27-10/31/2014

Monday
Today, we look at radical equations after a review of perfect radicals and how to simplify radicals. I will use the knowledge of linear equations in solving the radical equations and radical inequalities

Today, we look at graphing radical equations. I will use x/y tables for graphing these radical equations.  We will analyze characteristics of the graphs.

It is time to graph a cubed root function using a table and an exploration of graphing rational functions. I will challenge you to think in the task exploration.

Thursday

Monday
Today, we review how to find the inverse of an exponential function, and transformations of exponentials( including the "e" function. I will add some exploratory into the transformations, you should make the connections quickly from the polynomial exploratory.

Today, the class applies the knowledge of polynomial roots to a box task. I will allow the students to work the task as much as possible. Also, we review the types of factoring so the students know how to factor any given polynomial to prepare for the Tuesday lesson

Today, you will work on a circle problem of solving a polynomial for roots and then writing the equation of the polynomial from the roots, a complete circle! I created this process so I will take credit for the activity.

Also, we look at solving a system of equations graphically and algebraically.
