Week of 10/26-10/30/2015

Tutoring: I have different tutoring times due to an absence all day  on Tuesday for a school event and  Governor's Honors Interviews on Thursday afternoon. I will tutor Thursday morning and Friday afternoon. I will be available possibly some other times, check with me individually.

Assessments: Quiz on Friday , Characteristic project is due Tuesday

Monday
Today, we simplify rational expressions and multiply rational expressions. You will need to know factoring very well for both lessons

Tuesday
I am out today, I am being honored as Pebblebrook's Teacher of the Year. You will work on rational expressions and your characteristics project.

Thursday
Today, we add and subtract rational expressions, you will have to think today and you need to know how to find common denominators. I will give some suggestions to assist in LCD.

Tutoring: Friday morning and Tuesday afternoon ( until 4:30 only due to homecoming and juinor class sponsorship) and Thursday afternoon

Assessments:Project based assessment on characteristics of polynomials

Yes, I am back from a math conference, hope all had a great rest of the week and a good weekend. I will count every sheet finished in class the past 3 days. If you miss any one of the days, see me for the work.

Monday
Today, we will review zeros,  domain and range of a function, extrema and intercepts. You will learn intervals of increase and decrease and end behavior.

Wednesday
We start off with a topic from unit three: Inverses with exploratory of how to find the inverse.

We are ready for unit four: rationals and radicals, a grand review of factoring today.

Week of 10/12-10/16/2015

Tutoring:  Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon only this week.  I am out of class Wednesday through Friday for a math conference.

Assessments: None this week, I will give a project on characteristics of polynomials as an assignment in my absence. The project will be a test grade for unit three.

Monday
Today,  class starts off with a card activity on polynomials. Also, you will explore graphed polynomials and the focus on notes will be  intercepts, extrema, zeros, domain and range.  I will have handouts to help with the notes.

HW: None

Tuesday
It is day two of characteristics of polynomials, focus is intervals of increase and decrease and  end behavior. Class will included an exploration of end behavior to determine the guidelines for end behavior.

HW; None

Wednesday to Friday
I have a sub all 3 days ( attending GCTM)  and the class will work on varied assignments related to polynomials. One item will be a project on characteristics of polynomials and roots of polynomials.  I expect the classes to be wonderful and to do all work assigned.
