College Readiness Math week of 09.12.2016

Tutoring: Tuesday morning and Friday afternoon ( I have a morning meeting on Wednesday)

Monday
We finish the unit test and work word problems with algebraic expressions. We will run a dice trick in class and analyze why it works.

Day one of the new unit, Linear equations, today the equations have  a  coefficient of one.. I want to ensure all students have the foundation for equations.

Day two of equations, moving to coefficient not equal to one  equations to ensure all students master the concept.

Thursday

We move along to the variables on both sides equations using all of the foundational skills of equation solving.

Friday
Today, you will have a quiz on equations, of varying degrees of difficulty. I am sure all of you will do a fantastic job. AFter the quiz, you will solve equations with distributive property and/or variables on both sides
