HW; study for quiz
Tuesday
A day to shine brightly with a quiz on long division and synthetic division. Also, you will work on finding all roots of a given polynomial.
Help:https://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/polynomials-division-long.html
HW: None
Wednesday
We work on writing roots as factors and then writing the equation of a polynomial.

HW; None
Thursday
We have a guest today in first block, the director of the Cobb County Safety Center. Also, we look at a circle problem.

Week of 2/22-2/26/2016
Tutoring: Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning
Assessments: Quiz likely next Wednesday and test the following week.
Welcome back from the break!
Monday
Today, we move along to unit 3, solving polynomials. The focus today is dividing polynomials using long division. I will review the process of long division with numbers and apply to polynomials.
HW; None
Help:http://www.purplemath.com/modules/polydiv2.htm
Tuesday
We work on long division for day two, the concept is intense and you will need time to master the concept.
HW: None

Wednesday
Today, we move to dividing polynomials using synthetic division, this method is great and so basic. I I will teach the process very slowly and you will have the process down in a few examples.
HW: None

Thursday
We have a guest coming to class today, as a shadow to a high school teacher's day. The class will work on the placemat activity, solving for the roots of a polynomial.
HW: None
Help:http://www.purplemath.com/modules/synthdiv.htm
Friday
Yes, it is Friday! Class will be a wrap up of the placemat activity and a card activity of finding roots of a polynomial, identifiying if a given number is a root and solving using Quadratic Formula ( if depressed polynomial does not factor).
HW; None

Algebra 2 week of 2/8/2016-2/12/2016
Tutoring: Monday afternoon and Friday morning. I have a conference on Tuesday afternoon. Other times may be possible, just ask me in class.
Assessments; Unit 2 test is Thursday.
Monday
Today, you will explore binomial distribution with the use of Pascal's Triangle and the formula discovered in class on Friday
Help:https://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra2/polynomial-functions/binomial-theorem/v/binomial-theorem
HW: None
Tuesday
Today!, you will practice the expansino of binomials with graduated levels of the binomials. If time allows, you will also look at composition of functions.

HW; None
Friday
Extension day for polynomials, main goal is application of polynomials to the remodeling of a house. Also, you can finish the unit two test. ( Black History program today, some students absent)
HW; none, enjoy the time off !
Enjoy the week break and I will see you on 02/22. I will grade tests near the end of the break, so grades will not be updated for a while, in fact, grades may be locked over the break.
